The $90 million project, fully funded by the city of Rockford, will bring over two hundred rooms, a spa, a fitness center, additional dining options, and a fifteen-thousand-square-foot convention center to the property. Although some news outlets have incorrectly labeled this as Illinois' first Hard Rock Hotel, it will actually be the second, following the now‑closed original Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. The hotel is designed to help the casino better compete with other regional gaming destinations, and for Hard Rock collectors and milestone enthusiasts, the new property will offer additional visit credits for both returning and first‑time guests, with an extra credit available for those attending a show at Hard Rock Live.
