CENTRAL AMERICA
Central America wasn’t originally on our bucket list, but that changed when Malte, influenced by the Corona situation, started his semester abroad in Costa Rica in April 2021. Towards the end of his stay in Costa Rica, Malte spent two weeks traveling through Panama. In April 2024, Vicky traveled alone to Panama and Costa Rica. Then, in July 2024, we traveled through Central America again, this time exploring Guatemala and Belize.

GUATEMALA
Everything you need to know about our time in Guatemala can be found both on the page dedicated to Guatemala and in our blog article. We’ve focused on answering all the possible questions that might come up, including the ever-important one: What to do in Guatemala? Based on that, we’ve put together all the key information for the different places: How did we get from A to B? Where did we eat? Where did we stay? What can you do there? And much more. All of it is illustrated with beautiful pictures from our trip. We hope you enjoy browsing through our blog. Feel free to follow us on social media!
BELIZE
Belize, located south of Mexico and east of Guatemala, has exactly the beach vibes one associates with the Caribbean. It was simply beautiful there; the locals were relaxed, friendly, and always open for a chat. We like to remember how we needed boiled water for our instant noodles at 10 PM, and a local willingly helped us. We combined Belize with Guatemala and spent 5 days in Caye Caulker, including a day trip to Secret Beach on San Pedro. We give you recommendations, such as how to get there, where to stay, the best food places, and more.
Our Central America travel guides are very detailed, and we put a lot of work into them. That’s why we’re proud to present our Guatemala and Belize travel guides. All the photos were taken by us. As non-native English speakers, we aim to write in a way that is simple and easy to understand, just as we would want it. If you like any of our Central America travel guides or blog articles, feel free to share them with fellow travelers and help our blog grow.
