Hard Rock Locations in Mexico

Last Update: February 18, 2026
Hard Rock’s expansion into Mexico began in the late 1980s with early openings in Cancun and Acapulco, positioning the country as one of the brand’s foundational international resort markets. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s additional cafes opened across major tourist hubs including Cozumel, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, while cruise port, airport and retail rock shops reinforced the travel driven focus. Over time several city based cafes closed, particularly in Cancun and Mexico City, reflecting shifts toward integrated resort developments. In recent years the emphasis has centered on large scale hospitality projects such as Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos, Vallarta and Guadalajara, supported by selective cafe reopenings in Cabo San Lucas and Guadalajara. Today the country represents one of the most diversified Hard Rock landscapes globally, combining destination hotels, resort based retail and strategically placed cafes across key tourism corridors.
