Hard Rock’s history in Indonesia dates back to 1992 with early openings in Jakarta and shortly after in Bali, positioning the country among the earliest Asian markets outside major financial hubs. The Bali Beach Club era transitioned into the long standing Hard Rock Hotel Bali and accompanying cafe in 1998, establishing one of the brand’s most recognized resort destinations in Asia. Over the years Jakarta saw multiple cafe phases before ultimately closing, while Bali continued to expand with airport based cafes and retail rock shops including recent openings from 2022 onward. Today the market is centered around Bali with its hotel, cafe and airport concepts, representing one of the most established resort driven Hard Rock chapters in the region.
