Expansion into India began in 2006 with the opening of Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai Worli. Over the following years numerous cafes opened across major metropolitan centers including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Pune, Kolkata and Chandigarh, creating one of the broadest multi city portfolios in Asia. While several early locations in Mumbai, Gurgaon and other cities later closed during consolidation phases, new openings and relocations have kept the brand active and evolving. In addition to city cafes the market includes Hard Rock Hotel Goa and airport based concepts, reflecting a diversified hospitality approach. Today India maintains a wide geographic spread of open cafes and hotel driven venues, making it one of the most expansive Hard Rock markets in the region.
