Hard Rock’s development in the Dominican Republic began in 2006 with the opening of Hard Rock Cafe Santo Domingo, followed by expansion into Punta Cana where the brand established a major resort based presence with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana in 2010. Over the years multiple cafe relocations, retail concepts and airport rock shops operated across Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Puerto Plata, with several closures reflecting restructuring phases within the tourism driven market. In recent years new openings including Hard Rock Cafe Punta Cana Downtown and Hard Rock Cafe Puerto Plata have strengthened the national portfolio alongside city center rock shops.
