💡 How does the Travel Buddy system work?
Have your own destination or travel idea in mind? Create a Travel Buddy Request →
If you're interested in someone else's Travel Buddy request: Open the details, review the information, and send a message to the creator. Travel Buddy matches always start with a conversation.
If you're the creator of the request: Once you've found someone you'd like to travel with, open your Travel Buddy request and click Add Travel Buddy. Search for the collector, select them, and choose whether you're still looking for additional Travel Buddies or want to close the search after this match.
The selected collector will receive a notification. On the Travel Buddy Search page, they'll see an Action Required section where they can review and either accept or decline the Travel Buddy request.
Once accepted, the match becomes official and is counted as a successful Travel Buddy connection.
If important trip details change later, confirmed Travel Buddies will receive a notification. If either side decides not to participate anymore, the Travel Buddy connection can be removed and the other collector will be informed automatically.
